Climate
The climate of the Central African Republic is generally tropical. The northern areas are subject to harmattan winds, which are hot, dry, and carry dust. The northern regions have been subject to desertification, and the northeast is desert. The remainder of the country is prone to flooding from nearby rivers.
The rainy season is mainly from May to October, with an annual rainfall of 180 cm in the south and 80 cm in the extreme north. Temperatures range from 21°C to 32°C (70°F to 90°F).
