Good Time to Visit

Weather
Liberia has a hot, tropical climate with little variation in temperature (25°C on average). The rainy season is from May to October, with June being the wettest month with 96 cm of rain. The dry harmattan wind blows from December to March, making the coastal belt particularly arid. (For more information, see Climate in Liberia).
Visitors are advised to bring lightweight cottons and linens, along with waterproofs during the wet season.
Festivals
Dates in the Christian calendar are significant. Independence Day, celebrated on 26 July, and National Unification, on 14 May, are other major occasions.
