Local Media
Other than the weekly Somaliland Times, there are no English-language newspapers in Somalia. Local language papers include:
- Ayaamaha (Mogadishu)
- Codka Xoriyadda (Mogadishu)
- Jamhuuriya (Somaliland)
- Mandeeq (Somaliland)
- Qaran (Mogadishu)
- Xog-Ogaal (Mogadishu)
There are a number of television broadcasters, such as:
- HornAfrik TV (rebroadcasts Al-Jazeera and CNN)
- SBC - Somali Broadcasting Corporation (Puntland)
- STN - Somali Telemedia Network (rebroadcasts Al-Jazeera and CNN)
- SLNTV - Somaliland National TV (owned by Somaliland government)
Many people listen to Somali-language radio based abroad, such as the BBC Somali service. There are around 20 radio stations based in Somalia, but no national, domestic broadcaster.

- Radio Banaadir (FM station based in Mogadishu)
- Radio Galkayo (Puntland)
- Radio Hargeisa (FM and shortwave station owned by Somaliland government)
