The state-run China Daily and weekly news magazine Beijing Review are both published in English. Chinese language papers include:

• Zhongguo Jingji Shibao (China Economic Times)

State-run Chinese Central TV (CCTV) has a number of provincial and municipal stations offering around 2,100 channels; networks include English-language CCTV-9. China is also a major market for pay-TV.

Radio stations include the state-run China National Radio and China Radio International, the latter providing programming in more than 40 languages.
