Internal Transport

Dominica has more than 700 km (450 miles) of well-maintained roads, with liittle traffic encountered outside Roseau. Cars may be hired by drivers between the ages of 25 and 65, with at least two years' driving experience. There is a 32 kmph (20 mph) speed limit in towns and villages.

There are also bus services that link all towns and villages and some efficient taxis.

The best means of sightseeing is often by minibus and jeep tours; all vehicles chartered for this purpose must be hired for at least 3 hours.
