Europe
Europe is the world's second-smallest continent in terms of area (after Australia), covering about 10.4 million square kilometres (or 2.0% of the Earth's surface), but is the third-largest continent (after Asia and Africa) in terms of population, with approximately 710 million people, or 11% of the world's population. The continent is bound to the north by the Arctic Ocean, to the west by the Atlantic Ocean, to the south by the Mediterranean Sea, and to the southeast by the waterways adjoining the Mediterranean to and including the Black Sea and the Caucasus Mountains. On the east, it is divided from Asia by the water divide of the Ural Mountains, the Ural river, and by the Caspian Sea.
The choice of locations and subsequent holidays in Europe is truly vast. Whether you bag a late deal to the Spanish costas or Greek islands, soak up the culture of Italy, go golfing in the Algarve, take the Orient-Express to Venice, or hit the designer boutiques of Paris and go on a spending spree? the list is almost endless!
