Climate
The climate in Liechtenstein is mild, influenced by a warm south wind (the Fohn).
In the capital, Vaduz, average temperatures are at their lowest in January at -1°C (with a minimum of -3°C and a maximum of 2°C), and their highest in July, at 17°C (with a minimum of 14°C and a maximum of 25°C). Rainfall averages from 6 to 14 cm a month, with the greatest amounts falling from May to September (10 cm a month or more), with the least (less than 7 cm) falling between December and March. Between October and February, the city receives 3 hours of sunshine a day (or less); sunlight hours reach their peak in July, with 8 hours per day. Humidity is at its lowest between April and August (66 to 69%), rising to a high 81-83% between November and January.
